Mariana was born on November 3, 2018 at 8:48 a.m. and weighed in at 8 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20.5" long. Mariana must have been curious about this world, because she came 10 days early and arrived in a short six hours! In fact, John was still away at a conference when he got the call at 2:30 a.m. that Victoria started contractions. He set the cruise control to 99 MPH and made it home by 4:30 and we were at the hospital by 5:00! By 8:48, we welcomed Mariana. The time of her birth is significant as well, since Victoria's mom was born in August 1948 (8/48). She is named after Victoria's mother's middle name (Marianne in German) and Victoria's middle name (Elizabeth).
